RAW MATERIAL:

Fruit of the Capsicum annum plant. Recognition of raw material; translucent, bright red, rounded and bulbous, and measuring about 12 - 15 cm long and about 4 cm across. Thin fleshed; sweet, tart flavour and smoky, dusty tones. (Variety : Capsicum annum - common name Papri Queen.)

MANUFACTURING PROCEDURE:

Raw material dried in a dehydration chamber to a moisture content of not more than 10% net weight. The product is manufactured using current good manufacturing procedures. Further all provisions of the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act of South Africa have been adhered to. The raw material is processed in a variety of spice milling machines and screened until the raw material is turned into a fine powder. The fine powder is then visually classified and 1500Kg uniform batches are blended.

Shelf Life 12 months (After 'best before' date, flavour loss and browning occurs)
Storage Cool, dark place (Light and acc. temperature causes colour loss)
