Our
agricultural producers are extremely important to us and a lot of
time and resources are devoted to our farmers. We are constantly
sharing with our producers to ensure that they too benefit from
Natpro's ongoing development programme to maintain the international
competitiveness.
Our procurement strategy has been divided into two areas,
I) Large scale producers
These
long-established concerns are able to provide large volumes and
reliable supply. To ensure that micro considerations, climatic and
other farming hazards do not jeopardise our raw material supplies,
we have strategically developed growing centres across southern
Africa. This minimises our dependence on any specific area, while
continually developing new growing areas and improving yields.
II) Small scale farmers
The purpose of this project is to develop this sector of the economy
and provide our small suppliers with resources both in terms of
education and the farming requirements needed to produce an impressive
yield of Paprika.
Our two-pronged procurement strategy ensures that we are able to
offer our customers a consistent supply 12 months of the year, despite
the crop being seasonal.
Through its agricultural education process, Natpro Spicenet advocates
farming methods that are ecologically sustainable and responsible.
